National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences FMGE Result Released 2025

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) announced the results of the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) for the December 2025 session on January 29. Out of 43,933 candidates who took the screening test, 10,264 have successfully qualified. The examination took place on January 17, 2026. Candidates can verify their qualifying status on the official website natboard.edu.in.

Scorecards When And Where to Download

As per the official notification, individual scorecards for candidates who participated in FMGE December 2025 will be accessible for download on the NBEMS website on or after February 6, 2026. NBEMS has indicated that scorecards will be available for a duration of six months from the date of issuance. After this timeframe, the scorecards will no longer be available on the website, and requests for re-issuance will not be accepted. Candidates are encouraged to download and keep their scorecards for future reference.

Post-Exam Review Of Question Paper

NBEMS has stated that each question in the FMGE December 2025 examination was evaluated by subject matter experts post-examination to ensure the technical accuracy of the questions and answer keys.

During this evaluation, one question was identified as technically incorrect, and marks were granted to all candidates. Additionally, another question was determined to have two correct answers, and marks were awarded to candidates who selected either of the correct options.

In-Person Verification Mandatory

NBEMS has communicated that FMGE Pass Certificates will only be issued following in-person verification of identity and credentials. The schedule for in-person verification and the distribution of pass certificates will be announced separately on the NBEMS website.

The board has clarified that the results announced are contingent upon successful verification, and the FMGE scorecard cannot substitute for the FMGE Pass Certificate for registration with any State Medical Council (SMC).

Important Clarification For State Medical Council Registration

NBEMS announced that all State Medical Councils will receive digitally signed results in MS Excel format directly from the board to facilitate the verification of FMGE Pass Certificates submitted by eligible candidates.

The digitally signed PDF result available on the NBEMS website is intended solely to inform candidates of their results. State Medical Councils have been directed to retain the digitally signed results provided by NBEMS, and any future requests for verification from NBEMS will not be accommodated.

Eligibility To Be Re-Verified

NBEMS emphasized that candidature is strictly provisional and contingent upon meeting the eligibility criteria outlined in the FMGE December 2025 Information Bulletin. Should any ineligibility be identified at any point, the candidature will be revoked, regardless of whether the result has been announced or the pass certificate has been issued.

The board also cautioned that any detection of unfair practices at any stage will be addressed in accordance with the NBEMS Unfair Means Guidelines and relevant legal provisions.

Results Withheld For Four Candidates

NBEMS reported that the results of four candidates have been withheld. The reasons for this action are being communicated to each candidate individually via email.
