IIT Madras Internship Applications 2026: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has announced the opening of applications for its Summer Fellowship Programme 2026. Students interested in acquiring practical experience in Engineering, Management, Sciences, or Humanities are invited to apply for this two-month internship, which provides a stipend of Rs.15,000 per month.
This programme is specifically designed for students who are not currently enrolled in any IIT. The programme is expected to run from May 18 to July 17, 2026, and applicants must submit their applications by March 2, 2026 (5 pm).
IIT Madras Internship 2026: Eligibility And Documents Required For Applying
Eligibility
Candidates in their 3rd year of undergraduate studies (BE / B.Tech / B.Sc Engg./3-year B.Sc. with Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics) or those in the 3rd or 4th year of an Integrated / Dual Degree Master’s Programme (M.E./ M.Tech / M.Sc), as well as 1st year students of M.Sc./M.A./MBA with an exceptional academic record, particularly those with high ranks in University examinations, are encouraged by the institute to submit their applications. This should emphasize their academic achievements, including papers presented at seminars, projects completed, and participation in design contests, scores/ranks in the Mathematics Olympiad, and any other awards or distinctions received.

- A letter from your institute certifying that you are a bonafide student, issued by the Head of Institution
