This initiative seeks to merge AI education with management and public policy, promoting industry-driven solutions that are socially relevant and in line with both national priorities and global advancements.
During his address at the event, Pradhan underscored the significance of responsible AI in the development of India. He stated, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged us to prepare India for AI. We must guarantee that AI is ethical, inclusive, and crafted to empower our students and educators.” He further remarked, “India’s AI will be designed to be inclusive, built on interoperable architecture, and developed with sovereign capabilities.” Pradhan also pointed out the necessity for scalable, India-centric AI models that can revolutionize education and support the nation’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
Professor MP Gupta, the Director of IIM Lucknow, characterized the newly introduced programmes as a “thoughtfully designed modular curriculum” that connects technological innovation with practical business applications. He noted, “These programmes are intended to cultivate a future-ready talent ecosystem, enabling students to utilize AI responsibly while fostering entrepreneurship and digital leadership.”
