TNTET Notification 2025 Released: Application Form, Exam Dates, Direct Link. The Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) of the Government of Tamil Nadu has published the examination notification for the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) 2025, aimed at selecting candidates for TN Government School Teacher positions in Classes I to V and VI to VIII. Eligible individuals from Tamil Nadu may submit their online applications for Paper-I and Paper-II until 5:00 PM on September 8, 2025. This examination qualifies candidates for teaching roles in classes I through VIII.

Eligibility Criteria:

Paper-I (For Classes I-V):

• A Higher Secondary education or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks, and either passed or currently appearing for the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
• A Higher Secondary education or its equivalent with at least 45% marks, and either passed or currently appearing for the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with NCTE Regulations, 2002.
• A Higher Secondary education or its equivalent with 50% marks, and either passed or currently appearing for the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
• A Higher Secondary education or its equivalent with 50% marks, and either passed or currently appearing for the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

Paper-II (For Classes VI-VIII):

• Graduation and either completed or currently enrolled in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
• Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and either completed or currently enrolled in the final year of a Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.).
• Graduation with a minimum of 45% marks and either completed or currently enrolled in the final year of B.Ed. in accordance with NCTE Regulations.
• Higher Secondary or an equivalent qualification with a minimum of 50% marks and either completed or currently enrolled in the final year of a 4-year B.El.Ed.
• Higher Secondary or an equivalent qualification with a minimum of 50% marks and either completed or currently enrolled in the final year of a 4-year B.A./ B.Sc. Ed. or B.A. Ed./B.Sc. Ed.
• Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and either completed or currently enrolled in the final year of B.Ed. (Special Education).
• Candidates who hold any NCTE-recognized B.Ed. qualification are eligible to apply for TNTET.

Exam Pattern:

Both papers consist of 150 MCQs, lasting 3 hours each.

Application Fee:

• Payment via online gateway (Net Banking/Credit/Debit Card).
• Rs.300/- per application for SC/SCA/ST and PwD candidates.
• Rs.600/- per application for General and other categories.
• Separate applications and fees for Paper-I and Paper-II.

How to Apply:

• Interested candidates must apply online through the TRB website (www.trb.tn.gov.in). Separate applications are necessary for Paper-I and Paper-II, each requiring its own fee.
• Ensure you have scanned copies of a recent color passport-sized photograph, your signature, and the required certificates (10th/12th grade marksheets, Diploma/B.Ed., Community Certificate, and PwD Certificate if applicable).
• Fill out the online application form by 08/09/2025 (5:00 PM) and complete the payment via the integrated gateway. If necessary, utilize the edit option from 09/09/2025 to 11/09/2025.
