Eligibility Criteria:
Paper-I (For Classes I-V):
- A Higher Secondary education or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks, and either passed or currently appearing for the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- A Higher Secondary education or its equivalent with at least 45% marks, and either passed or currently appearing for the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with NCTE Regulations, 2002.
- A Higher Secondary education or its equivalent with 50% marks, and either passed or currently appearing for the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
- A Higher Secondary education or its equivalent with 50% marks, and either passed or currently appearing for the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
Paper-II (For Classes VI-VIII):
- Graduation and either completed or currently enrolled in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and either completed or currently enrolled in the final year of a Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.).
- Graduation with a minimum of 45% marks and either completed or currently enrolled in the final year of B.Ed. in accordance with NCTE Regulations.
- Higher Secondary or an equivalent qualification with a minimum of 50% marks and either completed or currently enrolled in the final year of a 4-year B.El.Ed.
- Higher Secondary or an equivalent qualification with a minimum of 50% marks and either completed or currently enrolled in the final year of a 4-year B.A./ B.Sc. Ed. or B.A. Ed./B.Sc. Ed.
- Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and either completed or currently enrolled in the final year of B.Ed. (Special Education).
- Candidates who hold any NCTE-recognized B.Ed. qualification are eligible to apply for TNTET.
Exam Pattern:
Both papers consist of 150 MCQs, lasting 3 hours each.

Application Fee:
- Payment via online gateway (Net Banking/Credit/Debit Card).
- Rs.300/- per application for SC/SCA/ST and PwD candidates.

- Interested candidates must apply online through the TRB website (www.trb.tn.gov.in). Separate applications are necessary for Paper-I and Paper-II, each requiring its own fee.
