The Indian Coast Guard, which operates under the Ministry of Defence of the Government of India, has issued the official notification for Civilian Recruitment 2025. The Coast Guard is inviting offline applications from qualified Indian citizens for direct recruitment to various Group ‘C’ civilian positions, including Store Keeper-II, Engine Driver, Draughtsman, Lascar, Fireman, MTS (Daftary, Peon, Chowkidar), and Unskilled Labourer in the Coast Guard Region (West), located in Mumbai.

How to Apply:

  • Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria are required to submit their applications using the specified format.
  • Completed applications, accompanied by self-attested copies of relevant certificates, must be sent to The Commander, Coast Guard Region (West), Alexander Graham Bell Road, Malabar Hill PO, Mumbai – 400006.
  • The envelope should be clearly marked with “APPLICATION FOR THE POST ____”. Ensure submission by the deadline.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Store Keeper-II: Completion of Matric and 12th grade from a recognized Board or University. Requires one year of experience in store management.
  • Engine Driver: Must have Matriculation (10th grade) and a Certificate of Competency as an Engine Driver. Preferably two years of experience as Sarang on a vessel exceeding 400 BHP.
  • Draughtsman: Matriculation (10th grade) along with a Diploma in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Marine Engineering, or Naval Architecture, OR a Draughtsmanship certificate. (Experience not specified)
  • Lascar: Matriculation (10th grade) or equivalent qualification. Requires three years of service on a boat.
  • Fireman: Matriculation (10th grade) from a recognized Board. (Experience not specified). Special Physical/Medical requirements: Height 165 cms (with concessions for ST/hilly areas), Chest measurement of 81.5-85 cms, Minimum weight of 50 Kg, and successful completion of an Endurance Test.
  • MTS (Daftary): Matriculation (10th grade) or equivalent qualification. Requires two years of experience as an office attendant.
  • MTS (Peon): Matriculation (10th grade) or equivalent qualification. Requires two years of experience as an office attendant.
  • MTS (Chowkidar): Matriculation (10th grade) or equivalent qualification. Requires two years of experience as a Chowkidar.
  • Unskilled Labourer: Matriculation (10th grade) or ITI from a recognized institute. Requires three years of experience in the relevant trade.
