The Naval Ship Repair Yard (NSRY), operating under the Indian Navy and the Government of India, is calling for online registrations from qualified ITI Indian citizens (both Male and Female) for participation in Apprenticeship Training in Designated Trades for the academic year AY-2026-27/28. This training will take place at the Naval Ship Repair Yard located at Naval Base, Karwar, Karnataka – 581308, and at the Naval Aircraft Yard in Dabolim, Goa – 403801. This opportunity is available for candidates who have successfully completed their 8th/10th/Matriculation and ITI, allowing them to acquire practical training in various trades.
Candidates interested in the NSRY Apprenticeship Recruitment 2025 must complete their online registration on the Apprenticeship India portal, followed by the submission of a hard copy via post. It is essential for interested and eligible candidates to thoroughly review the detailed NSRY notification prior to submitting their applications.
The NSRY Online Registration will be conducted via the Apprenticeship India Portal under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS). The steps for the NSRY Apprenticeship Online Registration Process are as follows:-
Step 1: Navigate to www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in and click on NAPS located in the top right corner.
Step 2: In the “Search by Establishment Name” section, look for “Naval Ship Repair Yard Karwar”. A list of available Opportunities will appear.
Step 3: Choose and apply for the apprenticeship trade that you are eligible for from the Opportunities list.
Step 4: For the Goa Yard, follow the same procedure by searching for the appropriate establishment.
Step 5: Complete the online registration and download the Candidate Profile printout from the web portal.
Step 6: Send the printout along with the necessary documents via Speed/Registered Post to “The Officer-In-Charge, Dockyard Apprenticeship School, Naval Ship Repair Yard, Naval Base, Karwar, Karnataka – 581308” within 30 days from the publication date in the Employment Newspaper dated 18th Oct 2025 Issue.
Age Limit:
Minimum 14 years for non-hazardous trades and 18 years for hazardous trades. No upper age limit.
Eligibility Criteria:
ITI Trades: Matriculation (10th) Pass + ITI Certificate in relevant trade from NCVT/SCVT.
