BSEB is calling for applications for the Diploma in Elementary Education for the 2026-2028 session, offering over 30,000 seats throughout Bihar.
On Thursday, the Bihar School Education Board (BSEB) announced the notification for the Diploma in Elementary Education (DEIEd) course for the 2026-2028 academic year. The board has opened applications for more than 30,000 seats available statewide, and interested candidates can apply through the official website.
The application period will remain open until December 24, 2026, starting from today (December 11).
Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates are required to have successfully completed the Higher Secondary (10+2) examination with a minimum of 50% marks.
- A relaxation of 5% in marks is granted to candidates from reserved categories and those with disabilities.
- Applicants from the Urdu background who have achieved at least 50% marks in the Maulvi examination are also eligible.
- The minimum marks requirement is set at 35% for the unreserved category and 30% for reserved categories.
- The minimum age for applicants is 17 years as of the first day of the first month of the admission period.
Qualifications criteria:
A total of 120 questions will be available, each carrying one mark. This includes 25 questions from Hindu/Urdu, 25 from Mathematics, 20 from Science, 20 from Social Studies, 20 from General English, and 10 from Logical and Analytical Ability.
Application fee: Rs.960 for General, OBC, and BC candidates, and Rs.760 for SC/ST and PwD applicants.
