Applications are accepted exclusively ONLINE (with the exception of widows of defence personnel who may apply offline).
Step 1: Navigate to www.joinindianarmy.nic.in starting from 06 January 2026.
Step 2: Click on ‘Officer Entry Apply/Login’ and complete the registration process (if you have not registered previously).
Step 3: Log in and select ‘Apply Online’ → Choose Short Service Commission Technical Course.
Step 4: Carefully fill in your personal, educational, communication, and previous SSB information.
Step 5: Save & Continue, review the summary, and click ‘Submit’.
Step 6: Print two copies of the application (including the Roll Number generated after submission).
For Widows: Submit the offline application along with the required documents to the Directorate General of Recruiting.
Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification (Primary SSC Tech): Successfully completed B.E./B.Tech in designated engineering fields OR currently in the final year (must provide degree certificate and mark sheets by the specified deadlines).
For Widows (SSCW Tech): B.E./B.Tech in any engineering discipline.
For Widows (SSCW Non-Tech): Graduation in any field.
Candidates must be unmarried (for main entry); widows should not have remarried.
Only female candidates are eligible.
Age Limit:
Main Entry: 20 to 27 years as on 01 October 2026 (Born not earlier than 02 Oct 1999 and not later than 01 Oct 2006, both dates inclusive).
For Widows of Defence Personnel: Up to 35 years as on 01 October 2026.
