The Mahindra Thar Roxx Star Edition has recently been teased by the manufacturer. Prior to its launch, all modifications in this special edition have been disclosed. Mahindra has unveiled a teaser for the Thar Roxx, suggesting a special edition of the SUV. While the teaser did not reveal extensive details, the vehicle has started to arrive at dealerships as preparations for its launch are underway. Recent images captured at a dealer’s lot provide insights into the special edition, confirming its designation as the Thar Roxx Star Edition, which will be based on the premium AX7 L trim.
According to the visuals, the Mahindra Thar Roxx Star Edition emphasizes aesthetic modifications while maintaining the other specifications unchanged. Initially, there is a significant incorporation of black elements across various parts. The most notable feature is the black alloy wheel, which replaces the dual-tone variant with a metallic finish found on the standard top-end model. This is further enhanced by the application of black paint.

In contrast, the remaining exterior components, such as the grille, bumper, and lighting arrangement, remain the same. To signify the special edition, the manufacturer has included a Star Edition badge at the rear of the SUV, which mirrors the font and style of the Thar Roxx badge displayed on the vehicle.

Upon entering the interior, the black theme persists with a black dashboard and leatherette seating. Nevertheless, the beige roof liner and sections of the beige door panels have been preserved from the standard model, resulting in a dual-tone appearance. Even so, it significantly diverges from the Ivory White and Mocha Brown interiors available in the standard version. Meanwhile, the feature set is anticipated to mirror that of the standard model.
From a mechanical standpoint, the Mahindra Thar Roxx is expected to remain consistent. It will continue to be equipped with either a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine or a 2.2-litre diesel engine. These engines are paired with either a manual or an automatic transmission. The diesel variant offers the option of a 4×4 system, enabling the SUV to excel in off-road conditions.
