The 2026 Jeep Meridian has been launched in India, showcasing significant enhancements to its higher-spec Limited (O) and Overland trims. These versions now incorporate a new second-row sliding feature, which adds practicality by enabling the middle-row seats to shift forward or backward for improved space management. This upgrade enhances passenger comfort and flexibility, making the SUV more adaptable to various seating requirements.

In addition to this beneficial feature, Jeep has also adjusted the pricing. The 2026 Meridian is now priced higher than the previous version, reflecting the premium status of the updated model. Despite the increase in cost, the SUV maintains its combination of rugged capability and luxury, with the sliding seat function emerging as a notable improvement for everyday usability.

The top-tier trims of the Jeep Meridian, Limited (O) and Overland, are priced at Rs.30.01 lakh and Rs.35.61 lakh, respectively (all prices ex-showroom), and now include a manually sliding second-row seat. This system operates with a 60:40 split configuration, allowing two-thirds of the seat to slide up to 130mm and the remaining one-third to move by 140mm. Jeep asserts that this addition enhances third-row space, addressing one of the SUV’s primary limitations. Conversely, the lower-spec Longitude and Longitude Plus variants do not feature the sliding seat function.

Regarding features, the Jeep Meridian is equipped with a range of premium amenities, including a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.2-inch digital driver’s display, dual-zone climate control, powered front seats, a powered tailgate, a panoramic sunroof, and a 9-speaker Alpine audio system. In terms of safety, it comes with six airbags, a 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, and an electronic parking brake, ensuring both comfort and safety for its occupants.

The 2026 Jeep Meridian continues to feature its 2.0-litre diesel engine, which produces 170 hp and 350 Nm of torque. Transmission options consist of a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed torque-converter automatic. In the more advanced Limited (O) and Overland trims, the automatic version is additionally equipped with an AWD system, improving capability and versatility.
