ARCI Scientist Recruitment 2025: Online Application for 11 Scientist Positions

The International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials (ARCI) located in Hyderabad, Telangana, is an autonomous research and development center operating under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. It is currently inviting online applications from Indian citizens for the recruitment of 11 Scientist positions (Scientist E, Scientist C, and Scientist B) through direct recruitment. ARCI promotes gender equality and encourages applications from women candidates. ARCI Scientist Remuneration:

Rs.1,31,100/- (Scientist E, Pay Level 13), Rs.86,405/- (Scientist C, Pay Level 11), Rs.1,14,945/- (Scientist B, Pay Level 10) per month approximately, including basic pay, DA, HRA, and Transport Allowance. Additional benefits include NPS, Gratuity, Group Insurance, Medical Reimbursement, Children Education Allowance, and LTC as per norms.

ARCI Scientist Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications & Experience:

• Scientist B (Engineering): A Bachelor’s degree in Materials, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering is required. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree and one year of experience in R&D.
• Scientist B (Science): A Master’s degree in Physical or Chemical Sciences is required. Preferred qualifications include a Doctorate and one year of experience in R&D.
• Scientist C: A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering along with four years of industry experience, R&D, or S&T organizations is required. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree, knowledge of electrical contracts, safety standards, and risk assessment. Expertise in sub-stations, DG sets, or solar PV units is also desired.
• Scientist E: A Doctorate in Physical Sciences or a Master’s in Engineering or Technology with ten years of R&D experience in industry, academia, or S&T organizations is required. Preferred qualifications include a Post-Doctorate or Doctorate in Engineering, experience in R&D projects, and a record of high-quality publications or patents. Expertise in Li-ion or Na-ion batteries, photovoltaics, hydrogen generation, nanostructured materials, or PEM/electrolytes is also desired.

Age Limit:

• Maximum 35 years for Scientist C and Scientist B, and not specified for Scientist E as on 28/07/2025.
• Age relaxation as per Government norms for reserved categories.

ARCI Scientist Selection Process:

• Scientist B: A Competitive Written Examination (CWE) lasting 3 hours, worth 300 marks, consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions with negative marking, followed by a Personal Interview, with each component carrying a weightage of 50%.
• Scientist C: A Presentation lasting 15-20 minutes on project accomplishments, followed by a Personal Interview.
• Scientist E: A Presentation lasting 15-20 minutes on R&D accomplishments and a research proposal, followed by a Personal Interview.

ARCI Scientist Application Fee:

• Payable via NEFT/RTGS to Canara Bank, Kanchanbagh, Hyderabad (A/c No: 1849100015365, IFSC: CNRB0001889). Fee details must be included in the online application form.
• Scientist B: Rs.600/- (General/OBC), Rs.300/- (ST/EWS/PwD/Women).
• Scientist E & C: Rs.1000/- (all categories).
