Bugatti has introduced the FKP Hommage, a unique model that honors the Veyron hypercar and its creator, Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Karl Piech. Developed by the Programme Solitaire, the FKP Hommage represents the second endeavor of the French automaker’s ultra-bespoke division, succeeding the Brouillard. In terms of design, it closely resembles the Veyron but is fundamentally based on the Chiron, which has been in existence since 2016.

Featuring numerous tributes, the FKP Hommage revives the iconic W16 engine, which is set to be replaced by a V-16 hybrid powertrain in contemporary Bugatti vehicles. This new high-performance unit has been engineered by Cosworth and is utilized in the Tourbillon. Returning to the W16, it draws in air through a quad-turbocharger configuration, producing an impressive 1578 hp. This configuration is identical to that used in the Chiron Super Sport.

Aesthetically, the vehicle remains true to the Veyron with a traditional two-tone color scheme that includes a black-tinted carbon-fiber rear section paired with red accents. To further emphasize this connection, it features a horseshoe grille crafted from solid black aluminum, providing a three-dimensional appearance. The sleek headlights are taken from the Chiron, enhanced by oval-shaped air intakes.

Veyron-inspired features persist with two additional ducts that emerge on the roof, finished in silver. The front wheels measure 20 inches, while the rear wheels are 21 inches, both adopting the blocky design of the Veyron and fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. As we move towards the rear, the car showcases two circular elements once more, paying homage to the hypercar from the 2000s.

The cabin’s interior is characterized by brown leather, distinguishing it from the interior of the Chiron. The previously flat-bottomed steering wheel from the Chiron has been replaced with an appealing circular version, while the center console features a unique design highlighted by a shiny silver fish-scale trim that enhances the exquisite physical controls.

In a manner similar to the grille, the silver elements within are made from solid aluminum blocks, and the dashboard prominently showcases an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tourbillon, a sophisticated octagonal timepiece, which rests gracefully on the center console. The sole clear sign of the F.K.P. Hommage’s modern attributes is the digital gauge cluster. The seats and door panels are upholstered in a fabric that displays a pattern of rhombuses and jagged lines.
