Class 10 Board Exams 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a significant circular for Class 10 students who will be taking the 2026 board examinations, detailing stringent answer-writing guidelines for the Science and Social Science papers. The board has emphasized that responses must be written exclusively in the specified sections of the answer book, cautioning that any divergence from this could result in the non-evaluation of answers.
This initiative is part of CBSE’s ongoing commitment to enhance the quality, precision, and consistency of evaluations across various subjects.

Important Answer-Writing Instructions For Class 10 Students
The CBSE has released the following compulsory guidelines for students taking the Class 10 board examinations:
- Students are required to partition the answer book into three sections for Science and four sections for Social Science prior to writing their response.
- Responses must be inscribed solely within the designated space allocated for each respective section.
- Responses from one section must not be inscribed or intermixed with another section.
- If responses are inscribed in the incorrect section or intermixed across sections, they will not be assessed, and no marks will be granted.
- Such errors will not be considered during the verification or re-evaluation process following the announcement of results.
Instructions For Schools
The CBSE has instructed schools to guarantee that sufficient practice is provided to students well ahead of time so that they become accustomed to the updated answer-writing format. Schools have also been encouraged to integrate these guidelines during pre-board examinations to prevent mistakes in the final board exams.
