The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the comprehensive exam timetable for the February 2026 session of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) and has announced modifications to the examination dates and format. In response to a notable increase in the number of registered candidates, the board has opted to conduct the exam over a span of two days.

The CBSE has stated that the 21st CTET examination, which was initially set for February 8, 2026, will now take place on February 7 and 8, 2026.

As per the board’s announcement, this adjustment will facilitate better preparation for examination centres nationwide and ensure the examination proceeds smoothly.

The CTET examination for February 2026 will be administered in two shifts on both days and will encompass Paper I and Paper II. The examination will occur in 140 cities throughout the country. Candidates are urged to meticulously review their admit cards, which provide information regarding the examination date, paper, shift timings, and reporting guidelines.

Candidates must arrive at their assigned examination center at least one hour prior to the start of the examination. No candidate will be permitted entry after the examination has commenced.
