East Central Railway, Hajipur has released a job notification for the recruitment of the Sports Quota for the year 2025-26.Online applications are being accepted from qualified and exceptional sportspersons for various Railway positions at Pay Level 4/5, Pay Level 2/3, and Pay Level 1 in HQ/ECR Hajipur and its five divisions (Dhanbad, Danapur, DDU, Sonpur, and Samastipur), totaling 56 vacancies. The deadline for submitting online applications is October 21, 2025.

How to Apply:

• Eligible candidates are required to submit their applications either neatly typed or handwritten in English or Hindi on A-4 size paper, ensuring that it is completed in their own handwriting. A passport-sized photograph must be affixed in the specified area on the application form, with the candidates’ signature positioned at the top.
• The completed application, along with self-attested copies of all pertinent certificates verifying age, caste, educational qualifications, sports achievements, and other qualifications, should accompany the application. Applications must be mailed to the relevant ECR units.
• Closing Date: The last date for submitting applications is 21/10/2025. For candidates from remote locations and those living abroad, the deadline is 06/11/2025.
• All candidates must clearly state “Application against Sports Quota”, Employment Notice No. ECR/HRD/Rectt/Sports Quota (Open Advt.)/2025-26, and the Sports Discipline on the top of the envelope.

Eligibility Criteria:

• For Pay Level 4/5 Positions: A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in any field from an accredited university.
• For Pay Level 2/3 Positions: Completion of Matriculation with 12th class (10+2) or an equivalent examination (OR) Matriculation along with a completed Course in Act Apprenticeship (OR) Matriculation plus ITI recognized by NCVT / SCVT (OR) Passed 10th grade from a recognized board.
• For Pay Level 1 Positions: 10th grade pass from any recognized board (OR) ITI (OR) equivalent (OR) National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) recognized by NCVT.

Age Limit:

• 60 Minimum 18 years and Maximum 25 years for all posts as on 1st January 2026.
• No Age relaxation.

Pay Scales:

• Pay Level 4/5: Basic Pay Rs.25500 / 29200/-
• Pay Level 2/3: Basic Pay Rs.1900 / 21700/-
• Pay Level 1: Basic Pay Rs.18000/-

Minimum Sports Norms for Recruitment:

Pay Level-2/3	(i) Represented the country in any of the Category-B Championship/events.  OR (ii) At least 3rd position in any of the Category-C Championship/events. OR (iii) At least 3rd position in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championship. OR (iv) At least 3rd position in National Games organized under aegis of Indian Olympic Association.  OR (v) At least 3rd position in All India Inter University Championship organized under the aegis of Association of Indian Universities. OR (vi) 1st position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category).
Pay Level-1	(i) Represented the country in any of the Category-C Championship/events. OR (ii) At least 3rd position in Federation Cup Championship (Senior Category).  OR (iii) Represented a State or equivalent Unit, except in Marathon and Cross Country, with at least 8th position in Senior National Championships only.

Selection Process:

The ECR Sports Quota 2025 recruitment will be based on performance in trial and evaluation of sports and educational achievements.

Application Fee:

• The payment should be made via an Indian Postal Order (IPO) addressed to ‘FA&CAO, East Central Railway’ and must be payable at Hajipur.
• For SC / ST, Women, Minorities, and Economically Backward Candidates: Rs.500/-. A refund of Rs.400/- will be issued to candidates who participate in the trial.
• For all other Candidates: Rs.250/-. The full amount will be refunded to candidates who take part in the trial.
