The list of available Programmes can be found on the official website – iop.ignouonline.ac.in. Students are encouraged to review the Programmes and submit their applications accordingly.

On August 1, the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) announced the extension of the application deadline for new admissions for the July 2025 session. Students interested in enrolling in the online distance learning (ODL) and online Programmes will now have an additional two weeks to register.

The new deadline is set for August 15, having been previously scheduled for July 31.

The Open University has prolonged the application deadline for all programmes offered in online distance learning and online mode. The list of programmes is accessible on the official website – iop.ignouonline.ac.in. Students can check the programmes and apply accordingly.

A post on IGNOU’s social media stated: “The last date for submission of applications to ODL and Online Programmes has been extended until 15 August 2025.”

IGNOU Fresh Admission Form 2025: Instructions for Registration

Step 1: Initially, students must navigate to the official IGNOU website – ignou.ac.in

Step 2: Click on the ‘Register Online’ tab, then select ‘Fresh Admissions’

Step 3: Click on the ‘New Registrations’ tab

Step 4: Complete all necessary registration information

Step 5: Create a ‘Username’ and ‘Password’

Step 6: Provide all required details and submit the form

Step 7: Using the login credentials sent to your email and phone number, log in and complete all necessary information

Step 8: Choose the programme you wish to pursue

Step 9: Submit the IGNOU registration form.

Prior to completing the online form, the applicant must possess the following items:-

– A scanned photograph (under 100 KB)

– A scanned signature (under 100 KB)

– A scanned copy of the relevant educational qualification (under 200 KB)

– A scanned copy of the experience certificate, if applicable (under 200 KB)

– A scanned copy of the category certificate, if applicable (SC/ST/OBC) (under 200 KB)

Eligible students may also apply for government scholarships through the national scholarship portal at – scholarships.gov.in once their admission has been confirmed.
