Following the announcement of the CAT 2025 exam results, candidates have the option to pursue JAP 2026, CAP 2026, or SAP 2026 for admission to IIMs. The Joint Admission Process (JAP) 2026 is a newly established entrance examination for MBA admissions. This entrance exam was initiated in September 2025 and is managed by IIM Raipur. IIM Kashipur, Raipur, Ranchi, and Tiruchirappalli will participate in JAP 2026 for MBA admissions. IIM Raipur serves as the coordinating institute for JAP 2026 and will supervise the execution of the joint admission process.
The authorities will soon disclose the next phases of the JAP 2026 admission cycle, following the common framework approved by the participating IIMs. Candidates who meet the minimum academic and CAT 2025 eligibility criteria will need to complete a mandatory registration via the JAP 2026 portal.
The final selection of candidates for the Personal Interview will be based on the pool of registered candidates, determined by the subsequent cut-off score for each candidate category. The Personal Interview phase under JAP 2026 is tentatively scheduled for February to March 2026.
According to the official statement from IIM Raipur, “The process aims to bring greater uniformity, transparency, and operational efficiency to the MBA admission process through a single-window application and evaluation framework. It is designed to enhance ease of access for applicants while maintaining rigorous academic and selection standards.”
