IMD Project Staff Recruitment 2025: Online Application Form 134 Vacancies Notification

The India Meteorological Department (IMD), under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, is inviting online applications for Project Scientist, Scientific Assistant, and Administrative Assistant posts. These positions will be filled on a contractual basis to support various Research and Development (R&D) projects in meteorology and related fields. The IMD Vacancy 2025-26 is open to candidates with the required postgraduate or bachelor’s degrees, offering opportunities to work on meteorological projects across India.

The Mausam IMD online registration must be completed through the official IMD Recruitment Portal. Follow these steps:

Step 1: Apply online on the IMD Mausam Recruitment Portal from 24 November 2025.
You may apply for more than one post.

Step 2: Upload self-attested copies of your documents, including:

• Educational certificates (from Class 10 onward)
• Date of birth proof
• Experience certificates (if any)

Step 3: Submit your online application on or before 14 December 2025.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Project Scientist (E, III, II, I): A Post Graduate degree or a B.E./B.Tech. in Physics, Mathematics, Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, Electronics & Instrumentation, ECE, Environmental Science, Remote Sensing, Computer Science, or Information Technology, among others.
• Scientific Assistant: A Bachelor’s Degree in Science with a focus on Physics OR a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Electronics, ECE, Telecom, Instrumentation, IT, or Communication Engineering.
• Administrative Assistant: A Bachelor’s Degree along with successful completion of the Computer Proficiency Test.
