Indian Army TGC 143 Notification for Over 30 Engineering Positions in 2025-26: The Indian Army is calling for online applications from qualified unmarried Male Engineering Graduates for the 143rd Technical Graduate Course (TGC-143) set to begin in July 2026 at the Indian Military Academy (IMA) in Dehradun, leading to a Permanent Commission in the Indian Army. The online registration for Indian Army TGC 143 will commence on 8th October and conclude on 6th November 2025.

How to Apply?

  • To apply for the Indian Army, all applications must be submitted online via the official website. Start by clicking on ‘Officer Entry Apply/Login’ and then proceed to ‘Registration’ (Note: Registration is not mandatory).
  • Once registered, go to ‘Apply Online’ on your dashboard. A page titled Officers Selection ‘Eligibility’ will appear. Click on ‘Apply’ next to the Technical Graduate Course. This will direct you to the ‘Application Form’ page. Carefully read the instructions and click ‘Continue’ to enter your personal information, communication details, education details, and information regarding previous SSB experiences. Ensure you click ‘Save & Continue’ before advancing to the next section.
  • After completing all sections, you will arrive at a page titled ‘Summary of Your Information’. Here, verify your entries for accuracy and make any necessary adjustments. Only when you are confident in the correctness of your details, click on ‘Submit’.
  • Please be aware that candidates should click on ‘Submit’ each time they wish to modify any details in their application. Furthermore, it is recommended that candidates print two copies of their application, which will include their Roll Number, within 30 minutes after the final closure of the online application on the last day.
  • Closing Date: The final date for registration of online applications is 06/11/2025 (Thursday) by 15:00 Hours.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants must have completed an Engineering Degree or be in their final year of the Engineering Degree program.
    • Candidates in their final year of the Degree Program are required to finish all examinations pertaining to the degree.
    • They must be capable of presenting the Engineering Degree within 12 weeks from the start date of training at IMA.
    • Such applicants will be enrolled on an Additional Bond Basis to recover the costs associated with training at IMA, as well as any stipend and pay & allowances provided, should they fail to submit the necessary Degree Certificate within the designated timeframe.

Age Limit:

  • 20 to 27 years as on 01 July 2026.
  • Age Relaxation as per rules.

Salary:

  • Lieutenant Level 10: Pay scale ranging from 56,100 to 1,77,500
  • Captain Level 10B: Pay scale ranging from 61,300 to 1,93,900
  • Major Level 11: Pay scale ranging from 69,400 to 2,07,200
  • Lieutenant Colonel Level 12A: Pay scale ranging from 1,21,200 to 2,12,400
  • Colonel Level 13: Pay scale ranging from 1,30,600 to 2,15,900
  • Brigadier Level 13A: Pay scale ranging from 1,39,600 to 2,17,600
  • Major General Level 14: Pay scale ranging from 1,44,200 to 2,18,200
  • Lieutenant General HAG Scale Level 15: Pay scale ranging from 1,82,200 to 2,24,100
  • Lieutenant General HAG +Scale Level 16: Pay scale ranging from 2,05,400 to 2,24,400
  • VCOAS/Army Cdr/Lieutenant General (NFSG) Level 17: Fixed pay at 2,25,000/-
  • COAS Level 18: Fixed pay at 2,50,000/-

Physical Standards:

  • Height & Weight: The minimum required height and weight for men is 157.5 cms along with the corresponding weight. For candidates from the North East and hilly regions such as Gorkhas, Nepalese, Assamese, and Garhwalis, the height requirement will be relaxed by 5 cms, with weight adjusted accordingly to the reduced height. For candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum height can be decreased by 2 cms.
  • To be deemed fit, a candidate must maintain good physical and mental health, free from any disabilities.
  • Permanent Body Tattoos. For information regarding the tattoo policy, please refer to the Join Indian Army website.
  • Prospective candidates are encouraged to engage in physical exercise to maintain their fitness levels, thereby minimizing the risk of injury during the demanding physical training at the Indian Military Academy. To adapt to the training regimen at the Academy, candidates are advised to meet the following standards prior to joining IMA, if ultimately selected: – (a) Running 2.4Km in 15 minutes (b) Push ups – 13 repetitions (c) Sit ups – 25 repetitions (d) Chin ups – 6 repetitions (e) Rope climbing – 3-4 meters.
