Educational Qualifications:

| Lascar-I | 10th class Pass (Matric) + Knowledge of Swimming + 01 year experience. |
| Fireman (Boat Crew Staff) | 10th class Pass + Knowledge of Swimming + Certificate of having completed pre-sea training course. |
| Topass | 10th class Pass (Matric) + Knowledge of Swimming. |
Pay Scale:
- Lascar-I, Fireman & Topass: Level 1 of Pay Matrix s.18000 – 56900/-
- Syrang of Lascars: Level 4 of Pay Matrix Rs.25500 – 81100/-
Age Limit:
- The Upper Age relaxation – 05 years for SC / ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PwBDs.
- Minimum – 18 years
- Maximum – 25 years as on crucial date.
