Mahindra has recently launched the XUV 7XO and is now concentrating on refreshing one of its most sought-after SUVs, the Scorpio N. A camouflaged test mule of the updated version was spotted at Chennai Airport, and the visible features suggest that the SUV is approaching production readiness. Enhancements to both the exterior and interior indicate a more refined and feature-rich vehicle while maintaining the rugged character that has driven the Scorpio N’s popularity. Externally, the facelift closely follows the current design language. The upright stance and bold proportions remain intact, but subtle tweaks give the SUV a more refined look. The dual-pod LED projector headlights and LED fog lights with C-shaped silver accents continue to dominate the front, although the grille appears to have undergone minor adjustments for a sharper appearance. The bumper edges seem less sculpted, contributing to a smoother overall aesthetic. From the side, the silhouette remains familiar, showcasing the same window line and pull-type door handles. The SUV is fitted with 18-inch alloy wheels, now featuring a new spoke design that adds a contemporary flair without changing the overall stance.
The most significant updates are found inside the cabin. The revamped Scorpio N is expected to include a floating 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, replacing the former 8-inch unit, along with a fully digital 10.25-inch driver’s display instead of the traditional analogue dials. These upgrades greatly enhance the premium feel of the interior.
Additional anticipated features comprise a Harman Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated second-row seating, a driver’s seat memory function, a 360-degree camera, and six airbags as standard. Existing features such as keyless entry, push-button start, wireless charging, hill-hold assist, and Level-2 ADAS are expected to be retained.
From a mechanical standpoint, Mahindra is anticipated to persist with the reliable 2-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines. Both engine options will be available with 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions, and the diesel variant is expected to retain its optional four-wheel drive system. This combination of established powertrains and contemporary technology guarantees that the Scorpio N facelift will resonate with existing fans while also drawing in new customers seeking a more upscale SUV experience.
