NCET 2026 Registration: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is currently accepting online applications for the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2026, which is intended for admission into the four-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) for the academic year 2026-27.

The ITEP programme, which is a dual-major initiative, will be available at select central and state universities and institutions, including IITs, NITs, RIEs, and government colleges that are accredited by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

The NCET 2026 will be administered nationwide in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format across 13 different mediums.

Admission and counselling process

Candidates who are set to take the NCET 2026 will engage in the counselling and admission process organized by the respective central and state universities and institutions, including IITs, NITs, RIEs, and Government Colleges, which have received recognition from NCTE to provide ITEP for the academic year 2026-27.

Institutions may fill any vacant seats from the pool of candidates who have qualified for NCET, in accordance with their admission policies.

  • Candidates are required to apply for NCET 2026 exclusively through the online platform at exams.nta.nic.in/ncet. Applications submitted through any other means will not be accepted.
  • Each candidate is permitted to submit only one application form.
  • The submission of multiple application forms is strictly prohibited under any circumstances.
  • Candidates must adhere to the instructions outlined in the Information Bulletin and on the official website. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.
  • Candidates should ensure that the email address and mobile number provided in the online application form are their own or belong to their parents/guardians, as all communications from NTA will be directed to the registered email address and mobile number only.
