RRB Group D Exam 2025: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has updated the schedule for the Group D 2025 Computer Based Test (CBT) examination. The exam, which was initially set to take place from January 1 to January 16, 2026, will now occur in January and February of 2026. Candidates who have applied for the examination can view and download the updated examination timetable for Group D on the official website of the board – rrbcdg.gov.in.

This examination aims to fill a total of 32,348 vacancies, and a complimentary Sleeper Class Railway Pass is available for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates.

Revised Exam Schedule

The Railway Group D exam is now planned for January 8 and January 9, 2025, as well as February 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and February 9, 2026.

City Slip and Admit Card Release Dates

According to the official notification, the city intimation slip and travel authority slip will be issued approximately 10 days before the examination.

The admit cards are expected to be released four days prior to the exam, specifically on January 3 or January 4, 2025.

RRB Group D Exam Pattern and Minimum Qualifying Marks

Candidates in the Unreserved (UR) category must achieve a minimum score of 40 percent, while those in the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category also need to score 40 percent. Candidates from the OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) category must score at least 30 percent, as do SC and ST candidates.

The CBT exam will last for 90 minutes and will include 100 questions. Candidates will earn one mark for each correct answer, while one-third of a mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

The test encompasses various subjects to evaluate a candidate’s qualifications for the position. These subjects include Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness & Current Affairs.

The Group D examination is conducted to fill multiple positions such as Track Maintainer Grade-IV, Assistant Pointsman, and various technical roles in departments including Electrical, Mechanical, and Signal and Telecommunication.
