South Central Railway Scouts & Guides Quota Recruitment 2025: Online Application Form 14 Vacancies

The South Central Railway (SCR) has issued a recruitment notice for the year 2025-26, calling for online applications from qualified Indian citizens to fill 14 positions under the Scouts and Guides Quota for Group C and former Group D roles. The deadline for submitting online applications is 19th October 2025.

How to Apply:

Qualified individuals are required to submit their applications online via the official website at iroams.com/rrc_scr_scout2025/ between 20th September 2025 (5:00 PM) and 19th October 2025 (11:59 PM).

Candidates are to upload the subsequent documents in one PDF file:

• Recent Photograph
• Signature.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Group C: Candidates must have completed 10+2 or an equivalent qualification with at least 50% marks (this requirement is waived for SC/ST/Ex-servicemen or those with higher qualifications such as Graduation/Post-Graduation).
• Formerly Group D: Completion of 10th grade or ITI (in NCVT-approved trades) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized board.

Age Limit (as on 01/01/2026):

• Group C: UR: 18-30 years, OBC: 18-33 years, SC/ST: 18-35 years.
• Erstwhile Group D: UR: 18-33 years, OBC: 18-36 years, SC/ST: 18-38 years.
• Upper age relaxation applicable as per government norms for reserved categories.

Pay Scale:

• Group C: Level-2 (7th CPC), Grade Pay Rs.1900/- (6th CPC).
• Erstwhile Group D: Level-2 (7th CPC), Grade Pay Rs.1800/- (6th CPC).

Scouts and Guides Qualifications:

• President of Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger or holder of the Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) in any section.
• An active member of a Scouts organization for the past 5 years (from 2020-21 onwards).
• Participated in two events at the National or All Indian Railways level and two events at the State level.

Selection Process:

• Documents Verification.
• Written Test: 60 marks.
• Marks on Certificates: 40 marks.

• General/OBC: Rs.500/- (Non-Refundable).
• SC/ST/PWD/Women/Minorities/Economically Backward Classes: Rs.250/- (Non-Refundable).
