South Western Railway Scouts and Guides Recruitment 2025: Online Application Form 11 Position Notification

The South Western Railway Scouts and Guides Quota 2025-26 Indicative Notification has been released via the Employment Newspaper dated 18th October 2025. Issue: The South Western Railway (SWR) Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) in Hubballi (Hubli) is inviting online applications from qualified Indian candidates for the recruitment of 03 positions in Level-2 and 08 positions in Level-1 under the Scouts & Guides Quota for the South Western Railway and Rail Wheel Factory, Yelahanka for the year 2025-26. The deadline for submitting online applications is 20th November 2025.

Level-2	03 (02 posts on South Western Railway and 01 post for Rail Wheel Factory, Yelahanka)
Level-1	08 (02 posts each for Hubballi, Bengaluru & Mysuru Divisions and Rail Wheel Factory, Yelahanka)

Educational Qualifications:

• Level 2: Candidates must have completed the 12th grade (+2 stage) or an equivalent examination, achieving at least 50% marks in total. The 50% requirement is waived for SC/ST/Ex. Servicemen/Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates. Additionally, candidates with qualifications exceeding the minimum required do not need to meet the 50% mark criterion. Educational qualifications should be obtained from Recognized Institutions (OR) Matriculation plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship/ ITI accredited by NCVT/SCVT, also with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. The 50% marks requirement is not applicable to SC/ST/Ex. Servicemen/Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates, nor to those with higher qualifications than the essential minimum. Educational qualifications must be from Recognized Institutions.
• Level 1: Candidates are required to have completed the 10th grade or ITI or an equivalent qualification. Those who are currently taking or awaiting the results of their final examinations for the 10th grade or ITI or equivalent at the time of application are not eligible to apply. Educational qualifications must be from Recognized Institutions.

Scouts & Guides Eligibility:

The qualifications listed below are applicable for the recruitment of Scouts & Guides for positions in Level-2 and Level-1.

1. A President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger or a holder of the Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) in any section;
2. Must have been an active member of a Scouts organization for the past 5 years, along with the ‘Certificate of Activeness’; and
3. Must have participated in two events at the National level or All Indian Railways’ level, as well as two events at the State level.

Age Limit:

• For Level-2: 18 to 30 years as on 1st January 2025.
• For Level-1: 18 to 33 years as on 1st January 2025.
• Age Relaxation – 05 years for SC / ST, 03 years for OBC and others as per GoI Rules.

Examination Fee:

• Rs.500/- for General and OBC Category Candidates.
• Rs.250/- for SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen / Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), Women, Minorities and Economically Backward Classes.

Selection Process:

Candidates who apply in response to the notification and meet the eligibility requirements for appointment under the Scout & Guides quota will be evaluated based on the following criteria:-

Written Test	60 Marks
Marks on Certificates	40 Marks
