South Western Railway Sports Quota Recruitment 2025: Online Application Form 46 Group C Positions

South Western Railway has announced the Sports Quota Recruitment 2024 for various Group C positions. The indicative advertisement was published in the Employment Newspaper on 18th October 2025. The South Western Railway, located in Hubballi, is inviting online applications from eligible candidates to fill 46 Group ‘C’ positions in Level-5/4 & Level-3/2, as well as former Group ‘D’ positions in Level-1, in accordance with the Railway Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2016, under the Sports Quota (Open Advertisement) for the year 2025-26. The deadline for submitting online applications is 20th November 2025.

How to Apply:

Qualified and interested individuals are encouraged to submit their applications online via the official RRC Hubli website (rrchubli.in) starting from 21st October 2025. The deadline for the registration of online applications is 20/11/2025 until 23:59 hours.

Educational Qualifications:

• Level-5: A Bachelor’s Degree in any field or something similar.
• Level-4: A Bachelor’s Degree in any field or something similar (OR) Completion of the 1st Year B.Sc. (Physics) or passing the 12th grade (+2 stage) in Higher Secondary with Science (Physics or Maths) (OR) 12th grade completion or an equivalent exam from a recognized Board/University. Additionally, for the skill test, a dictation speed of 80 words per minute is required for a duration of 10 minutes, with transcription times of 50 minutes for English and 65 minutes for Hindi.
• Level-3/2: Completed 12th grade (+2 stage) or an equivalent exam for Non-Technical positions (OR) Matriculation plus completion of an Act Apprenticeship/ITI recognized by NCVT/SCVT (OR) Passed 10th Standard.

Quota Eligibility:

The minimum sports standards for the recruitment of athletes under the sports quota via open advertisement for both team and individual events are as follows:-

1. Represented the country in any Category-B championships/events (OR)
2. Achieved at least 3rd position in any Category-C championships/events (OR)
3. Secured at least 3rd position in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships. (OR)
4. Attained at least 3rd position in National Games conducted under the auspices of the Indian Olympic Association. (OR)
5. Reached at least 3rd position in the All India Inter University Championship organized under the aegis of the Association of Indian Universities. (OR)
6. Achieved 1st position in the Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category).

Age Limit:

• Between 18 and 25 years as on 01.01.2026. 
• No age relaxation shall be permissible.

Categorization of International Championships:

• Category-A: Olympic Games (Senior Category)
• Category-B: World Cup (Junior/Senior Category), World Championships (Junior/Senior Category), Asian Games (Senior Category), Commonwealth Games (Senior Category)
• Category-C: Commonwealth Championships (Junior/Senior Category), Asian Championships/Asia Cup (Junior/Senior Category), South Asian Federation (S AF) Games (Senior Category), USIC (World Railways) Championships (Senior Category)

Selection Process:

• For game skill, physical fitness & coach’s observations during Trials – 40 Marks
• For assessment of recognized Sports Achievements as per norms – 50 Marks
• Educational Qualification – 10 Marks

Examination Fee:

• The fee should be paid online through Internet banking or Debit or Credit Cards.
• Rs.500/- for General / Other candidates.
• Rs.250/- for candidates belonging to SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen / Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), Women, Minorities and Economically Backward Classes.
