
SSC Revises CGL 2025 Tier-2 Schedule: The Skill Test (DEST) is set to take place on January 18, 2026, while the other papers will be conducted on January 19, 2026.
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released a significant notice updating the examination timetable for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2025 (Tier-2). These revised dates are in reference to the Commission’s previous notice dated December 19, 2025.
As per the new schedule, the Skill Test (DEST) for CGL 2025 Tier-2 will occur on January 18, 2026, with the remaining papers scheduled for January 19, 2026. On the second day, candidates will take Paper 1, which encompasses sections on Mathematical Abilities, Reasoning and General Intelligence, English Language and Comprehension, General Awareness, and the Computer Knowledge Test. Paper 2 (Statistics) will also be administered on that day.
In a different announcement, the SSC has unveiled the examination schedule for other forthcoming recruitment tests. The Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination 2025 is set to commence from February 4, 2026. The self-slotting option for this examination will start on January 15, 2026.
Furthermore, the Constable (GD) examination for recruitment into the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles, 2026, is tentatively scheduled to begin on February 23, 2026. Details regarding self-slotting for the GD examination will be provided in a separate announcement. The Commission has recommended that candidates frequently check its official website for additional updates and comprehensive instructions pertaining to the examinations.
