The Indian Army is calling for applications from qualified unmarried male and female engineering graduates for the Short Service Commission (SSC). The training course is set to begin in October 2026 at the Pre-Commissioning Training Academy (PCTA).
Eligibility
Candidates must possess the necessary degree in Engineering to be eligible for this position. Both male and female applicants aged between 20 and 27 years as of October 1, 2026, are invited to apply. Applicants should have been born between October 1, 1999, and September 31, 2006, inclusive of both dates.
Types of Commission
Grant of Commission Selected candidates will receive a Short Service Commission on probation at the rank of Lieutenant and will be eligible for the full pay and allowances applicable to a Lieutenant during the training period. Upon successful completion of the PCTA, the Officer will be confirmed in the Short Service Commission (Technical) at the rank of Lieutenant.
Ante Date Seniority. Engineering graduates of the Short Service Commission (Technical) will be granted one year of ante date seniority from the date of their commission at the rank of Lieutenant.
Deadline
The deadline for submitting online application forms is February 5 for male candidates and February 4 for female candidates.

- Complete the online registration form after thoroughly reviewing the instructions.
