TVS Motor Company is preparing for a major expansion in its internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicle (EV) offerings for the Indian market. Among the new models, the TVS eFX 3O is receiving considerable attention, having been initially presented as a concept at the EICMA 2025 in Milan. The company has now submitted a design patent for the eFX 3O in India, indicating its commitment to bringing this model to production. Market speculation indicates that this will be TVS’s inaugural electric motorcycle for India, with a launch anticipated between late 2026 and early 2027.
Patent images showcase a striking, contemporary design featuring sharp body panels and a unique rectangular headlamp. The motorcycle is expected to include USD front forks, and a large battery pack is prominently visible, not entirely hidden by the fairing. This design decision highlights the vehicle’s electric nature. The rear wheel depicted in the patent drawings appears solid, accompanied by a belt drive and swingarm configuration. While these illustrations may not accurately depict the final drivetrain, industry expectations suggest a mid-mounted motor, a configuration that enhances cooling efficiency and performance.

Aerodynamics appear to be a significant factor in the eFX 3O’s design. Sleek tank extensions and sculpted grooves along the side fairing are intended to minimize drag and optimize airflow. The ergonomics are geared towards sportiness, featuring a low-set handlebar and a single-seat layout that naturally promotes an aggressive riding stance. Within the cockpit, simplicity prevails: a compact digital instrument cluster is prominently positioned, accompanied by dedicated switchgear on the left side for console navigation.
At the rear, the motorcycle is fitted with a monoshock suspension system. Both wheels seem to be of equal size, although the rear is equipped with wider tyres to enhance grip and stability. The braking system includes petal discs at both ends, and dual-channel ABS is anticipated to be standard, highlighting TVS’s commitment to safety.
While the technical specifications are still undisclosed, the eFX 3O is being marketed as a high-end electric counterpart to the well-known Apache RTR 310. Featuring a modern design, cutting-edge attributes, and a performance-focused approach, this motorcycle may attract riders looking for a combination of sportiness and eco-friendliness. The expected price is around Rs 2 lakh, positioning it as a strong contender in India’s expanding electric motorcycle market.
