UN Young Professionals Programme 2025: The United Nations (UN) is now inviting applications for its Young Professionals Programme (YPP) for the 2025 cycle. This recruitment program enables eligible candidates from member countries to embark on a career as international civil servants within the UN Secretariat.

Applications can be submitted via the official portal until December 14, 2025. YPP represents one of the UN’s premier pathways for early-career professionals. It features a competitive entrance examination and organized professional development for those chosen to become part of the organization.

Who Can Apply

The program is exclusively available to citizens of the countries designated for this year’s examination cycle. Candidates must possess a relevant first-level university degree (Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent), be 32 years old or younger in the year of the exam, and demonstrate fluency in either English or French. The examination takes place annually in particular subject areas based on the needs of the UN. The roster of eligible countries and examination subjects is updated each year. Applications are processed via Inspira, the recruitment platform of the UN.
