UP NEET UG Counselling 2025: The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) in Uttar Pradesh has published the Round 5 merit list for the Uttar Pradesh National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (UP NEET UG) counselling 2025, which is for admission into the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program. The merit list can be accessed on the official website – upneet.gov.in. According to the list, 281 candidates have been chosen in the fifth round of state counselling for BDS admissions. Candidates who achieved NEET UG 2025 scores ranging from 113 to 511 are qualified to compete for state quota dental seats in this round.
In conjunction with the release of the merit list, DME Uttar Pradesh has also activated the Round 5 online choice-filling window. Eligible candidates can log in to choose their preferred dental colleges.
During the registration process, candidates are required to select a designated nodal centre for online document verification, as per the counselling guidelines.

Steps to Download Round 5 Merit List
- Visit the official website at upneet.gov.in
- Click on the “Latest Updates” section on the homepage
- Select the link labeled “UP STATE MERIT LIST OF NEET-UG BDS FIFTH ROUND – 2025”
- The merit list will be displayed in PDF format
- Use Ctrl + F to locate your name or NEET UG roll number
- Download and save the PDF for future reference
Security Deposit Information
Candidates who are allotted BDS seats in Round 5 are required to pay a security deposit to proceed with their admission.
- Government dental colleges: Rs.30,000
- Private dental colleges: Rs.1 lakh
Candidates wishing to participate in counselling for both government and private dental colleges must submit Rs.1 lakh as security money. Not paying the required amount will lead to ineligibility for the choice-filling process.
To participate in Round 5, all eligible candidates must register anew and pay a separate registration fee of Rs.2,000.
Candidates who applied previously, did not receive allotment in the first, second, third, and stray vacancy rounds, and have already paid the security deposit are exempt from paying it again for Round 5.
Required Documents
Candidates are required to present the following documents for verification during the counselling process:
- Class 10 marksheet or certificate
- Class 12 marksheet
- NEET UG admit card and scorecard
Applicants from reserved categories—including Other Backward Classes (OBC), Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), ex-servicemen, National Cadet Corps (NCC) quota, dependents of freedom fighters, or individuals with benchmark disabilities—must provide valid category certificates, as applicable.
A domicile certificate is necessary when eligibility is contingent upon state residency.
Candidates should be aware that if their admission is not confirmed following seat allotment in Round 5, the security deposit will not be refunded. Additionally, such candidates will be ineligible to participate in UP NEET UG counselling for the 2026-27 academic year.
