The West Bengal Central School Service Commission (WBCSSC) has prolonged the deadline for submitting applications for the SLST Group C and D positions. Interested candidates are encouraged to visit the official website to complete their application forms.
This extension provides an opportunity for candidates who were unable to apply or who missed the initial deadline. According to the board, the new deadline is set for December 12, 2025, at 5:59 PM, with payment options available until December 12 at 11:59 PM.
It is important to note that the WBSCSSC has announced a total of 8477 non-teaching vacancies, which include positions for Group C (Clerk) and Group D. The original application deadline was December 3.
Exam Fees and Available Positions:
The examination fee for candidates belonging to the General, Other Backward Class, and Economically Weaker Section categories for Groups C and D is 400, while it is 150 for candidates from the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Persons with Disabilities categories.
For Group C (Clerk), there are 5488 vacancies, and the examination process will consist of a written test followed by an interview, which will include a typing and computer proficiency assessment. Similarly, for Group D, which has 2989 vacancies, both written and interview rounds will be conducted. The question paper will be available in both English and Bengali.

Educational qualifications:
- For Group C (Clerk): Candidates must have completed the School Final/Madhyamik examination or an equivalent qualification, or the old HS in place of the School Final/Madhyamik or its equivalent, prior to the deadline for submitting online applications.
- Group D: Candidates should have passed class VIII from any institution recognized or affiliated with the Board/Council or an equivalent body before the deadline for online application submissions.
The minimum age requirement is 18 years, while the maximum age limit is 40 years as of January 1, 2025.
Age limit:
The age limit is subject to relaxation: 5 years for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes, 3 years for candidates from Other Backward Classes, and 8 years for candidates with physical disabilities.
