Western Railway, Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Mumbai is inviting online applications from qualified ITI graduates for the position of Act Apprentices, with a total of 5349 openings available under the Apprentices Act of 1961 across various Divisions and Workshops within the jurisdiction of Western Railway for the year 2025-26.

How to Apply:

Eligible candidates are required to submit their applications online via the official RRC Western Railway website (www.rrc-wr.com). The application process is outlined as follows:-

• Step 1: Navigate to the official site and select the Apprentice recruitment link (available from 21/02/2026).
• Step 2: Register by providing valid information and create your login credentials.
• Step 3: Complete the online application form with your personal, educational, ITI, and other relevant details.
• Step 4: Upload a scanned photograph, signature, and any necessary documents/certificates.
• Step 5: If applicable, pay the application fee online using net banking or a credit/debit card.
• Step 6: Submit your application and print a copy for your records.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Age Limit (as of 23/03/2026): Minimum age is 15 years, and the maximum age is 24 years
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST: 5 years | OBC: 3 years | PwBD: 10 years | Ex-Servicemen: 10 years plus service period plus 3 years (minimum 6 months of service)
• Educational Qualification: Completion of Matriculation (10th class) in the 10+2 examination system with at least 50% aggregate marks from a recognized board
• Technical Qualification: ITI Certificate in the relevant trade recognized by NCVT/SCVT

Selection Process:

The selection will be determined based on the following criteria:-

• A merit list will be created by averaging the percentage of marks obtained in Matriculation (minimum 50%) and ITI (equal weightage)
• In the event of a tie: Preference will be given to the older candidate; if the date of birth is the same, the candidate who completed Matriculation earlier will be favored
• There will be no written test or interview
• Document verification will be conducted for candidates who are shortlisted
