The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) of Eastern Railway, located in Kolkata, is calling for online applications from qualified Indian citizens for recruitment under the Scouts & Guides Quota for the year 2025-2026. There are a total of 13 positions available as per Notification No. RRC/ER/Scouts & Guides Quota/2025-2026, which includes 3 positions in Level-2 (Group ‘C’) and 10 positions in Level-1 (formerly Group ‘D’) throughout Eastern Railway and Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW). The deadline for submitting online applications is 8th August 2025.

Pay Scale (Monthly Salary):

• Group C (Level-2): Rs.19,900/- (Grade Pay Rs.1900, 7th CPC)
• Group D (Level-1, Erstwhile): Rs.18,000/- (Grade Pay Rs.1800, 7th CPC)
• Additional allowances: Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Travel Privileges, Pension (NPS), Educational Assistance, as per Eastern Railway rules.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications:

• Group C (Level-2): Completion of Matric with 12th grade (+2 stage) achieving 50% marks (exempt for SC/ST/ESM/PwBD or graduates) from a board recognized by the government OR completion of 10th grade along with NAC/ITI certification approved by NCVT.
• Group D (Level-1): Completion of 10th grade (Matric) OR 10th grade plus NAC/ITI certification approved by NCVT from a government-recognized board.

Scouts & Guides Qualifications:

• Must be a President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger OR a holder of the Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) in any section
• Must have been an active member of a Scouts organization for the past 5 years (Certificate of Activeness as per Annexure-VIII).
• Must have participated in two events at the National level OR at the All Indian Railways’ level AND two events at the State level.

Age Limit (as on 01/07/2025):

• Group D (Level-1): 18–33 years (UR)
• Group C (Level-2): 18–30 years (UR)
• Age Relaxation: 3 years for OBC, 5 years for ST/SC.

Application Fee:

• General/OBC/EWS (Male): Rs.500/- (Rs.400 refundable upon appearing in written test)
• SC/ST/ESM/PwBD/Women/Minorities/EBC: Rs.250/- (fully refundable upon appearing in written test)

How to Apply:

Eligible candidates are required to submit their applications online via the RRC Eastern Railway website (rrcer.org) between 09/07/2025 (10:00 AM) and 08/08/2025 (6:00 PM). The following steps should be followed:

• Navigate to rrcer.org and select the link titled “Online/E-Application for Scouts & Guides Quota/2025-26.”
• Complete the registration process by providing essential information (name, date of birth, mobile number, email address) to obtain a registration number and password.
• Log in to the portal, and fill in the application form with your personal, educational, and Scouts & Guides information.
• Upload scanned images of your photograph, signature, and necessary documents (10th/12th grade certificates, NAC/ITI, Scouts & Guides certificates, and caste/discharge certificates if relevant).
• Make the application fee payment online.
• Submit the completed form and print a copy for your records.
