
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode has released the results for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025. Approximately 12 candidates achieved a perfect score of 100 percentile, while 26 candidates attained a score of 99.99 percentile in CAT 2025. Candidates who have qualified for the management entrance examination will now be eligible to participate in the admission process for IIMs, contingent upon their eligibility criteria. Below are some of the admission procedures for the leading IIMs in the country.
IIM Ahmedabad
The selection process for candidates seeking admission to the 2026-28 Batch of the PGP at IIMA consists of two stages. Eligible candidates possessing a valid CAT 2026 score must complete the Analytical Writing Test (AWT) and the Personal Interview (PI). The minimum cut-off for CAT-2025 percentile ranks is set at 95 for the General/EWS category, while for the PwD category, the percentile rank is 85.
IIM Bangalore
The admission procedure for the 2026-28 Batch includes a personal interview and a Written Ability Test (WAT) for candidates with valid CAT scores. Final admissions will be determined based on the scores obtained after the personal interview.
For all candidates invited for interviews, the weights assigned to the parameters at the post-PI stage are as follows:
- Personal Interview = 40,
- WAT = 10, CAT = 25,
- 10th Board Score = 5,
- 12th Board Score = 5,
- Bachelor’s Score = 5,
- Work Experience / Professional Course = 10.
The 25 points allocated for the CAT are based on performance in each of the three sections as follows:
- Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VARC) – 8.75 points,
- Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) – 10 points, and
- Quantitative Aptitude (QA) – 6.25 points.
- Only candidates who achieve a minimum positive raw score in all sections of CAT-2025 will be considered.
IIM Calcutta
Candidates who possess a valid CAT 2025 score are required to participate in the Personal Interview (PI) and Writing Ability Test (WAT). The final selection composite score will be calculated based on the following criteria. The CAT 2025 score will contribute 30 percent, the personal interview will represent 48 percent, and the Writing Ability Test (WAT) will account for 8 percent. Additionally, approximately 6 percent will be awarded for Academic Diversity and for Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in non-engineering fields and professional qualifications. The candidate’s Work Experience will yield an additional 8 percent of the total score.
IIM Indore
IIM Indore will implement a three-phase selection process: (I) Eligibility criteria, (II) Shortlisting for Personal Interview (PI), and (III) Final Selection.
The selection criteria for each phase are outlined below:
- Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements will be eligible for the Personal Interview (PI).
- Candidates who are shortlisted for the PI will be notified in January 2026.
- IIM Indore will conduct admission interviews in both offline (in Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Indore, Kolkata, and Mumbai) and online formats, depending on the prevailing circumstances.
The final selection of candidates will be determined by a composite score, which is the sum of the following components:
- The 10th Standard/SSC score will be computed using the formula: 5* [Z Candidate-Z minute/ Z max- Z min].
- The 12th Standard/HSC score will be calculated as: 5* [ Z Candidate- Z min/ Z max – Z min].
CAT 2025 Sectional Scores will be assessed as follows:
Personal Interview will be scored as 45* [Z Candidate- Z min/ Z max-Z min]. Diversity factor will contribute 5.
