CBSE Board Exams 2026: In preparation for the Class 10 and 12 board examinations, Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj, the CBSE Controller of Examinations, has issued a firm advisory to students, encouraging them to avoid social media rumors and claims of paper leaks. He further clarified that there will be no post-exam mark verification for Class 12 this year, as CBSE transitions to a fully digital evaluation system designed to provide quicker and more accurate results.

CBSE has recently implemented on-screen marking for the Class 12 board exams, which manages the evaluation of results in an online format using specialized software on computers.

During a live session, the Examination Controller urged students to refrain from participating in social media discussions regarding the board exams and to report any suspicious activities.

Exam Controller On Social Media

“Please advise students to avoid social media. They should concentrate on self-study or seek assistance solely from teachers,” stated Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examinations.

To combat misinformation and rumors circulating on various social media platforms, the Controller mentioned that discussions have taken place with social media representatives to prevent the spread of unverified claims. He also cautioned students against believing YouTube videos that purport to show leaked question papers, emphasizing that such content is created solely for the purpose of attracting views and followers.

FIR For Sharing Misinformation On Social Media

If anyone is discovered disseminating misinformation, their information will be made public on the CBSE website, and a First Information Report (FIR) will be filed. Subsequently, the cyber police will keep an eye on such online activities.

No Verification Of Marks For Class 12

Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj has declared that the verification process for Class 12 marks post-examination has been halted. This decision comes in light of the implementation of digital evaluation, which guarantees enhanced accuracy in results while also shortening processing times.

How Does Digital Evaluation Of Class 12 Marks Benefit Overall?

  • The exam controller pointed out numerous advantages of digital evaluation, emphasizing that the automated system removes errors in totaling, posting, and uploading marks, thus minimizing the likelihood of human errors.
  • With automated coordination and limited manual involvement, teachers can engage in the evaluation process remotely, alleviating administrative burdens.
  • The system also facilitates quicker assessments, as a greater number of teachers – including those from international schools – can evaluate answer sheets at the same time. Consequently, the evaluation duration has been cut down from 12 days to merely 9 days.
  • Digital evaluation further promotes broader teacher involvement from both local and international schools, while conserving time and costs by eliminating the need to transport physical answer sheets.
  • Given that the marks assigned are final, there is no need for post-result verification, enabling teachers to concentrate more on classroom instruction rather than re-evaluating scripts.
  • This process also provides a significant opportunity for skill enhancement among educators. Moreover, it is environmentally friendly, as it reduces paper consumption and physical handling.
  • The system guarantees a clean and effective evaluation process, ensuring that no unanswered questions are overlooked, and allows evaluators to concentrate solely on assessing responses without the concern of totaling or cross-verifying.
