The Central Railway has issued a recruitment notification for 2,418 apprentice positions. Eligible candidates may submit their applications online through the Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) Central Railway’s official website, rrccr.com, beginning on August 12, 2025. The RRC Central Railway, based in Mumbai, is inviting applications for the recruitment of Act Apprentices across various trades under the Apprentices Act of 1961, to be allocated to workshops and units within its operational jurisdiction. The final date for online registration is September 11, 2025.

Stipend:

• Rs.7000/- per month for holders of National or State Certificates.

Educational Qualifications:

• Must have passed the 10th class examination or equivalent with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
• Additionally, possess a National Trade Certificate (ITI) in the notified trade issued by NCVT or a Provisional Certificate from NCVT/SCVT.

Age Limit:

• 15 to 24 years as on 12/08/2025 (born between 12/08/2001 and 12/08/2010).
• Age relaxation: 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC, and 10 years for PwD.

Application Fee:

• Rs.100/- (non-refundable) for all candidates except exempted categories.
• No fee for SC/ST/PwD/Women candidates.
• Payment via online modes like debit/credit card, net banking, or SBI Challan.

Selection Process:

• Candidates will be selected based on a merit list created for all applicants responding to the notification.
• This merit list will be formulated using the percentage of marks obtained in matriculation (with a minimum requirement of 50% aggregate marks) combined with ITI marks relevant to the trade for which the Apprenticeship is sought.
• The selection panel will be determined by calculating the simple average of the marks from both matriculation and ITI.

Prospective applicants are encouraged to register online via the RRC Central Railway portal at rrccr.com from 12th August 2025 until 11th September 2025, with the registration closing at 5:00 PM.
